CURRICULUM-VITAE OF MR. HECTOR RODRIGUEZ MOLNAR
Mr. HECTOR RODRIGUEZ MOLNAR is a practising attorney, with an LL.B. Degree in Law issued by the Argentine Pontifical Catholic University in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1973 and validated in Spain for its equivalent Degree of "Licenciado en Derecho" in 1978.
Héctor is 48 years old, is married and has two children of 15 and 12 years old respectively. He has attended Seminars at Doctorate Level at the Complutense University in Madrid and passed a program in Foreign Trade and International Contracting at the Instituto de Empresa (Madrid) in 1978; achievement: "Cum-Laude".
He is also holder of an LL.M. Degree in Law issued by the School of Law of the University of Pennsylvania in 1981, and participated at a Program on "International and Regional Organisations" (European Community Law) given by the "Faculté Internationale de Droit Comparé" with seat at Strasbourg; program passed in 1979.
Member of the Madrid and Barcelona Bar Associations in Spain, and member of the Buenos Aires Bar Association in Argentina, Héctor is in active practice in all jurisdictions.
His professional practice started in Spain in 1978, when he joined the Madrid offices of an international law firm. In 1984 he started his independent practice of law and created Rodriguez Molnar & Asociados, a firm specialized in foreign investments, international corporate work, environmental and intellectual property law. By lines of business his experience reaches key areas such as the automobile industry, telecommunications, waste treatment and disposal, energy and media.
Since October 1st, 1993 and until december 2005, the firm was engaged in a joint practice with the Barcelona Law Office of Rafael G. de Membrillera, under the name "Membrillera & Rodríguez Molnar -Bufetes Asociados".
As a member of the former Section on Business Law of the International Bar Association, a professional organisation with seat at London (U.K.), he was appointed to the Council of the Section on September 1992 and is currently a member of
the sections on Telecommunications, Intellectual Property and Environmental Law; in this latter, Héctor acted as Vice-Chairman from September 1989 to October 1993.
The american publishing company The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc appointed Héctor to its Board of Advisors for the publication "World Pharmaceuticals Report" in 1990, a position he held until the publication was discontinued in 1996.
In connection with his environmental activities, Héctor is a founder member of the "European Environmental Lawyers Association" with seat at Brussels and was accepted for membership to the International Council of Environmental Law (ICEL) on July 1989 upon the proposal of european and latin american environmental experts. He acts as Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the International Protection of Birds, created in 1996.
He also acts as Consultant and Country Editor for Graham & Trotman's "European Environmental Law Review" and is a member of the American Foreign Law Association with seat at New York (USA).
